Couples Counseling for men and women who are
- dating and wanting pre-engagement counseling
- engaged and wanting pre-marital counseling
- newly married and needing help with adjustments
- married satisfactorily but wanting to enhance their relationship or wanting accountability in maintaining a good relationship
- married and in crisis
- trying to heal from betrayal in the relationship
- struggling with communication and/or conflict
- struggling with unresolved and perpetual issues
- feeling disconnected from your spouse
- transitioning to parenthood for the first time
- having parenting difficulties
- wanting to be a better (happier!) parent

Family counseling for families who are

Kathy Shenk, LMFT, LMHC, CGE = $130 per hour
A fee adjustment can be made for a limited number of clients based on, but not limited to, financial hardship and/or frequency of sessions. Adjustments of fees can be discussed during the initial intake and any adjustment agreed upon will be applied after the initial intake for future sessions.
Fees are paid at the end of each session.
Cash or checks made payable to Kathy Shenk, Jeff Shenk or Point B Counseling and Coaching are accepted. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express are accepted as well.
Sessions are typically scheduled for 50 minutes (one counseling hour), although clients often find it beneficial to extend initial “intake” sessions and some couples sessions. Extended sessions can run 75 minutes long and will be billed at 1.5 times the session amount. Longer sessions are not typically scheduled unless requested by the client.
A 24-hour notice must be given if you are not able to make your session. Otherwise, you will be charged a $50.00 late cancellation fee.
Kathy’s business operates as a private-pay practice and is not currently accepting insurance, however you may still be able to utilize her services as an “out of network provider”. Please contact your insurance company for more information on benefits using Kathy’s services.
